Last post I mentioned Rogue Fitness coming to Toledo. Here is what I am looking forward to.

Where in the hell did summer go? Gone like the wind I suppose. Well things are busy per usual. Lots of fishing this summer. My addiction to fly fishing has increased to say the least, just ask the wife. But to say the least I have fished alot of new rivers and have had a blast doing it.

Hockey season is upon us and I usually end up trying to get is shape a month prior to the season starting, but this year I am ahead of the game. I joined Synergy back in Sept. last year and have been keeping at it at least 3-4 days a week. I joined the Kettle bell classes and have been hooked ever since. I found out recently that there will be a Crossfit affiliate opening in Toledo in October called Rogue Fitness and I am pretty damn excited to see what they will have to offer.

Work wise I am hella busy with lots of new projects. These projects are really helping me expand my web development skills and I am having alot fo fun doing it. Back in August, AIGA had an design show at Space237 and that went off really well. That’s all I have for now.

DESIGNwhat? is an open exhibition hosted by AIGA Toledo showcasing the creative talents of local graphic designers, illustrators and photographers. There will be an opening reception on Friday August, 15th from 7-9pm at Space237. The exhibit will run until September 15th. There will be an open ballot to vote for best of show. So yea been on the DL for the past couple of months. Things are busy as usual and spring flew past faster than ever this year. Shit, did we even have a spring?  The Fly Fishing Film tour was great…had over 100 people show-up and the films were amazing. One thing to say about my new addiction in life, fly fishing, it really has hit me in a hard way. I used to fish with my grandfather alot growing-up and after he passed away, I think I kind of gave it up. Not sure why, but it was just hard for me to get out and do something that we both loved doing so much. About a two years ago my buddy convinced me I should give fly fishing a try and since then its really become a bit of an obsession. So lots of fishing so far in 08 and it has been a blast.

In other news I have been busy with AIGA and planning what might be Toledo’s first ever design exhibition…more on that later. Also kicked off Deploy and so far things are looking pretty promising…my work schedule can attest to that. More on that later as well. Artomatic419 is coming up in 09 and the planning is starting to kick off this month. I have yet to decide how I am going to participate in this. I have not made any art in awhile and yes its time to do something but I just have been to damn busy.

This weekend the wife and I are having our first ever garage sale to get all “our crap” out of the basement. The extra cash will help pay for the stone patio that I plan on putting in this summer. We also have gotten back to getting to see some live shows this summer. July 10th we are heading to Cleveland to see Alkaline Trio, Bayside and The Fashion. OMG!!! The Fashion…I can’t wait. On Aug. 2nd we are seeing the Black Keys right here in Toledo. It will be the 2nd time I have seen them and they play an amazing show.
